Jesus calls His disciples to mortify even their secret sins. We tend to creep up to the line of sin. But Jesus reveals that we have already crossed the line in our heart. In this passage, Jesus reveals to that His disciples keep sin close, and must learn, by the power of the Spirit, to cut off and throw away that which causes sin.
